Family Vacation!

Over the 4th of July we went to Powell, Wyoming for the Gibson family reunion. It was a quick trip, but good to meet all the relatives. Most of them are not LDS so it was a little bit of a culture shock for me, but we had a good time. The hardest part was the 5 hour drive with Anna. Barrett's parents rode with us, so we had a car full and Anna got tired of her car seat really fast. Oh well, we survived!

Anna with Grandma and Grandpa Gibson at the parade in Cody.
This was at the end of the parade. It was a lady riding a long horn steer. We thought it was hilarious and had to take a picture of her.
Our little family picture at the family picnic in Powell.

There were three baby girls at the family picnic who were all wearing the same 4th of July outfit! Anna is on the left and was 2 and 1/2 months old. The baby in the middle was 3 months and the one sitting up was 9 months. I'm pretty sure their outfits were all the same size too! It was really funny.

Anna and Great Grandma and Grandpa Gibson. They really are nice people, they just aren't really smiley in pictures.

A 4 generation picture of the Gibsons. Anna slept right through it!

On the way home we stopped in Yellowstone. This is lower falls and the grand canyon of Yellowstone. Anna slept through this too!

Anna's Smiles

Anna is such a smiley baby! She just brightens my day every time she smiles. I had to include some of my favorite pictures of her smiling over the past month. What a cutie!

This is just one of those times when Anna was smiling so much I had to take a picture.

Riding in the car on the 4th of July. I think she was excited to go to the parade! This is one of my most favorite pictures!

Anna smiling on her blessing day!

These two pictures were taken on Sunday after church. My aunt sent this dress to me and Anna looked adorable in it. We took lots of pictures because she just kept smiling. It's contagious!

Another one of those moments where I just couldn't resist getting the camera out. Anna loves to lie on the floor and kick her arms and legs, all the while smiling and making cute noises. We love her!

Sorry to my devoted viewers that I have not put recent pictures of Anna on here yet. At least I finally got some on! I have been taking a block class online to finish my coursework to take the national exam for therapeutic recreation so my spare time has been somewhat limited. It doesn't help that I don't have internet at home either. Anyway, I will stop making excuses for myself and try to be better about posting pictures of my chubby baby! Thanks for viewing!

Pregnancy: oh the joys!

This is me pregnant! Amazing I know. We just took this picture early on to compare with the later ones when I actually had a belly.

Me with my crazy sisters at Christmas. Miriam (in the middle) and I were both pregnant but not showing yet.

We found out a couple weeks before Christmas that we were having a baby girl so Barrett oops, I mean Santa, got me these cute little shoes and put them in my stocking. I love baby shoes!

I'm just starting to get a little belly here being Vanna White and showing off the new crib. I think I was like 6 months along.

My belly at about 7 months.

Family friend Chris Geddes gave me a baby shower April 5th. It was fun and I got a lot of really cute stuff!

I graduated in from BYU-Idaho in Recreation Management on April 11, just 8 days before little Anna was born! Barrett made sure to show off my belly.

Barrett took this picture just a few days before Anna was born. I had a nice basketball belly that my coworkers at the Behavioral Health Center in Idaho Falls teased me about often. I quit my job there to be a stay at home mom. My last day of work was supposed to be April 18, but I went into labor and had to cancel that one! Good timing Anna!

Anna's First Month

Anna Kay Gibson was born April 19, 2008 after 23 hours of labor! She weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. She was really chubby when she was born because she was so swollen. Pretty big for my first baby!

Look at those chubby cheeks! Her eyes were so swollen, but she was still beautiful.

The very relieved, exhausted, proud, happy, excited mother!

The also very exhausted but very proud dad! Look how big her feet are!

This is Barrett taking his turn "watching" the baby. Ha! They were just too cute together I couldn't resist sneaking a shot!

Anna's first real bath. She didn't enjoy it so much. Her umbelical cord fell off at 5 days old, so we thought we would try a real bath instead of sponging her. Apparently she wasn't quite ready for it. She didn't mind the shower though!

Cute little Anna in her enormous night gown and bow.

Anna with my best friend Jessica Greene Bradfield's baby. Maya Ann is three days younger than Anna and has way more hair! They were so cute together.

We took this picture to give to our moms for Mother's Day. Anna was 3 weeks old and already had chubby cheeks!

Me holding Anna in her favorite position on my shoulder. She loves to be up and looking around.
